This week’s Wind Chime in Bloom

Bridgewater Wind Chime

In honor of the arrival of Spring, we will feature either one of our flower wind chimes (which we lovingly refer to as Wind Chimes  in Bloom) or one our Tree Wind Chimes each week for the next several weeks.  This week’s featured product is the  Bridgewater wind chime.  This artfully designed glass wind chime, reminiscent of a floating lotus blossom,  is one of our absolute favorites.  We just hung ours back outside our front door to welcome the other Spring blossoms which are well on their way in our garden beds.  The wind plays this twinkling chime for us to hear outside our door or in the front yard.  The sun illuminates the glass pieces making this a unique and stunning adornment for our front entry.  You can see and hear this and many other art glass wind chimes at our online store at www.TheBestOfChimes.com.

Spring Cleaning for Wind Chimes

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

As you begin Spring cleaning, don’t forget about your wind chimes.  Whether you have metal wind chimes, bamboo chimes and glass wind chimes, most can  be wiped down with a slightly damp cloth.  You could add drop of a mild cleanser like dishwashing liquid, but be careful to wipe off any soap residue.   If you have large windchimes – with tube diameters over, say 3/4″, spider webs or wasp nests may get built inside the tubes over the summer months.  We have found it that the long, thin brushes made to clean lint from under appliances and from dryer vents make a handy tool for cleaning out windchime tubes.  If you are looking to add to your windchimes collection check out www.TheBestOfChimes.com (more…)

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

The response has been great since we added the new Seasonal Harmonizing Chimes® to our selection.  These tempered aluminum wind chimes (1 for each season), use Fabien’s modes. Musician/composer, acupuncturist Fabien Maman, one of the world’s leading experts on vibrational sound therapy, developed a series of Seasonal Harmonizing Concerts® to bring human beings, nature and the cosmos into healing harmony.  The resonating tones of these precision tuned windchimes harmonize four of the five traditional Chinese elements, Water, Fire, Wood and Metal.  What could be a better addition to your home and garden environment than these Chinese healing sounds?  Hear them at www.TheBestOfChimes.com/seasonal-aluminum-wind-chimes/

September breezes enliven our wind chimes

Friday, September 11th, 2009

It’s a gray day with overcast skies and welcomed rain. Yet even with gray skies, our back yard is alive with music from our tuned wind chimes played by September breezes. The music creates a pleasant mood inside our home as we prepare and enjoy our meal. At last, the temperatures may cool down enough to sit outside and enjoy the music outdoors.

Welcome September! Dreaming of cooler temps and more outdoor time.

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Although September has just arrived, we are already experiencing somewhat cooler temperatures. The last few days have actually been amazingly pleasant in the morning and evening, taking us outdoors to play in the morning and to dine and relax in the evening. The sound of our beautiful tuned wind chimes adds so much to the ambiance and enjoyment of our back patio.
